The creeks, sounds and reaches we work

The radius here is set by water rather than by drive time, and each waterbody behaves differently enough that it is worth its own page.

Depth, marsh width, current, exposure and how built-out a creek already is all change what can be built and what it will cost. A lot on a deep reach with forty feet of marsh in front of it is a completely different project from one behind two hundred feet of spartina on a creek that drains at low water — and the two can be a mile apart.

These pages describe what is distinctive about each, and what it means for a structure.

Not listed here and still on Lowcountry water? The constraints are the same everywhere in the county — critical line, frontage width, neighboring structures and depth — so it is worth a conversation regardless.
