What this site is

This website provides general information about private dock design, permitting and construction on the South Carolina coast, and connects waterfront owners with a dock contractor working these creeks.

Information, not advice

Everything here is general information about how these projects usually work. It is not legal advice, engineering advice, or a statement of what any particular reviewing authority will decide about any particular property.

Permitting requirements, review practices and site conditions vary, and the reviewing offices are the authority on their own requirements. Nothing on this site should be relied on in place of a survey, a site visit, or advice from a professional engaged on your project.

No quotes on this site

No page here states a price, and no figure should be inferred from anything written on it. Scope, schedule and cost are set by the contractor after a site visit and a review of your survey.

Accuracy

Content is written carefully and reviewed, but conditions change and errors are possible. If you find something that looks wrong, tell us and it will be corrected.
